Exeter Craft Festival

The Exeter  Craft Festival was a success! After much preparations Terri and Myself were ready. We started to set up at 6.30 am and by 10 am we were ready. The sun was shinning and we looked forward to meeting lots of people. We were not disapointed and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came and supported us!
See you next year hopefully!

Up coming Exeter Craft Festival

On Saturday 7th July I exhibited some photographs in an “Art Boot Sale” in Wellington Junior School. The weather was so bad that the school opened their hall so that the event could take place. All the money raised by the event went to “Barnardo’s”.  The event was well organised and I meet lots of lovely artists.  A few visitors braved the rain. They made positive comments on my photographs. It was a new experience and I very much enjoyed it!

My next challenge is the “Exeter -Craft Festival” on Friday 20th and Saturday 21th July. I will be exhibiting some sculptures and my photographs. I am sharing the space with my artist friend Terri who will be exhibiting her brilliant Botanical Water Colours!

If you are in Exeter do come and say Hello! We are stand 87.

After much planning and preparations it was the weekend for the exhibition!
We set off, with excitement and apprehension, for the private view on the Friday evening and we were greeted at the door by a lovely glass of champagne!  It was very busy and the atmosphere was buzzing. Canapés and glass in hand we walked around the numerous pieces of art.
There was a lovely selection of sculptures, paintings in different medium, photographs, ceramics and textile.  Over 100 artists had been chosen to exhibit! During the weekend we visited the exhibitions a few times and discovered new pieces of work that we had missed previously.
The exhibition was a success; many pieces of work were sold by upcoming artists and more establish ones raising money for “Mind”!

Exhibition

I have had the chance to have some of my photographs selected as part of the forth coming “Art-in-mind” exhibition at the Maynard School in Exeter. This has been very exciting and I have enjoyed the process of getting them ready. The photographs have been printed professionally and then framed.
I have chosen to have giclée prints on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Torchon and Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta archival quality papers using LUCIA UV stable 12-colour ink system printer.
For further information on the exhibition which runs on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 April 2012 follow  the link below!
